Prenatal & Postnatal Care

Even before becoming a Mom, Dr. Dee Anne had a passion for both prenatal and postnatal care. Now a mother of two girls, she thoroughly enjoys helping expecting Moms throughout their journey of pregnancy, postnatal rehabilitation and, if desired, caring for their newborn. Dr. Dee is trained in the Webster technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has over ten years experience working with expecting Moms and newborns.

The goal of treatment is much the same as with any other patient: to maintain optimal spinal function by restoring motion in restricted joints and their associated tissues. The theory is that when all joint complexes are functioning optimally there are less aches and pains associated with pregnancy.

With respect to childbirth, there are of course many factors at play. However, it most certainly does not hurt to start the process with a well-functioning musculoskeletal system as a great foundation in hopes of a smooth labour and delivery process.

Many parents often bring in their newborn just for a check-up, but it is common to have a concern of difficulty looking one way, or latching right from the start. The birth process can often be quite a journey for the baby, and it only makes sense that this can result in restricted joints along the way.

Chiropractic adjustments for babies are extremely gentle, and Dr. Dee Anne has many rave reviews from parents observing wonderfully effective outcomes with just a slight touch. Because their bodies are so delicate, the force utilized for the adjustment is equal to that you could place on your eyelid to gently restore any restricted joint movement.
